Hey, I’m Emma

– an independent graphic designer and illustrator with a passion for helping purpose-led businesses develop authentic and meaningful brands.

Before running my own creative studio, I studied Graphic Design at Falmouth University, then worked at various design and advertising agencies. In doing so, I had the privilege of working with some incredible teams on projects for household brands, as well as a number of smaller businesses and start-ups. I learnt what big, established brands do well, and also how to apply some of these principles to make independent brands like yours have a big impact.

I now partner with purpose-driven businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs, at any stage of their journey. As an avid nature lover, I’m particularly passionate about working with ethical and sustainable businesses and brands who share a commitment to our planet.

Outside of work, you’ll probably find me on an early morning run, getting excited about a pretty sunset, upside down on my yoga mat, or by (and, most likely, in) the sea. I currently live in Colchester, UK (not far from the Suffolk countryside where I grew up) but my heart is always in beautiful Cornwall – the place that inspires me the most.

Good design is functional as well as beautiful – there’s no style over substance here! I create brand styles and communications that not only look great but also perform – making sure they resonate with your target audience and help you achieve your goals.

Simplicity

As a designer, I understand how important it is to make the design process easy and enjoyable. I’ll explain everything clearly, keep you updated on how your project is progressing, and listen closely to your feedback – delivering work you can’t wait to show off and an experience you’ll love to come back to.

Collaboration

Being a small business myself, I know how important every aspect of your business is, and the anxiety that can pop up when you bring someone new on board. It’s important to me that you truly love the outcome (I’m not happy if you’re not!), so I’ll work closely with you and keep you in the loop throughout the entire process – it’s a total collaboration!

The world is shaped by how we produce, consume, and sell. As a designer, I recognise the role I play in this and feel a deep sense of responsibility to use my influence to make the world a better place.

I’m committed to doing my bit to help take care of our planet – from championing local, independent, and purpose-driven businesses, to evaluating the environmental and social impacts of projects, recommending sustainable design solutions, and choosing eco-friendly print/production processes.
